National Research Management Training (NRMT)
The National Research Management Training (NRMT) aims to establish a shared benchmark and understanding of effective research, development, and extension (RDE) management practices across institutions. The training is designed to strengthen the competencies of participants by providing insights into core principles, emerging issues, practical tools, and best practices essential to effective research management.
Specific topics covered in the NRMT are identified based on current challenges, relevant fields of study, and recent RDE innovations that need to be enhanced through training. This ensures that participants gain knowledge and skills that are directly applicable to their work and institutional contexts.
Through this initiative, PHILARM seeks to empower RDE managers and research organizations by offering strategic perspectives that support informed decision-making, organizational efficiency, and sustainable research operations. The training also emphasizes innovation, evidence-based management, resource optimization, and effective communication to advance institutional research goals.
The NRMT is open to PHILARM members and non-members, welcoming all RDE managers, practitioners, and stakeholders committed to strengthening research management systems and improving research outcomes in their institutions.
